How it works

Two journeys: setting up and using the application day to day, and — once provider approval is complete — paying for a subscription.

Application journey

  1. Register

    Create your account as an individual trader or a registered company.

  2. Set up your business

    Choose your business type (e.g. food vendor, milk vendor, hotel) so shifts and pricing match how you sell.

  3. Add your customers

    Record customer names and phone numbers as you serve them, or in advance.

  4. Record your sales

    Log cash, M-Pesa, and debt sales — offline or online.

  5. Track debts and expenses

    See who owes you, send reminders when you choose to, and log daily expenses.

  6. Review performance

    Check profit/loss and trends for any date range.

Payment journey

Planned flow — pending provider production approval

  1. Free trial

    Start using JengaLedger during a free trial period.

  2. Choose a plan

    Pick a weekly or monthly subscription plan from Settings.

  3. Start checkout

    JengaLedger creates a payment order and opens a secure, provider-hosted checkout page.

  4. Enter your M-Pesa number

    Provide the phone number to receive the payment prompt on.

  5. Approve on your phone

    Enter your M-Pesa PIN only in the official M-Pesa prompt — never inside JengaLedger.

  6. Payment confirmation

    JengaLedger checks payment status with the provider and activates your subscription once confirmed.

  7. Renew or switch plans

    Repeat the same flow to renew or change plans at any time.
